Everyone wants D2C, but how do you do it when your product weighs 400 pounds?
Electrolux North America didn’t allow for purchase off of their website. During COVID-19, figuring out D2C became a pressing priority. We explored lots of options before discovering that they already had a “friends and family” site that could power the backend of a consumer D2C platform—it wasn’t pretty, but it was functional.
In true MVP style, we cleaned up and rebranded the friends and family site so we could start taking orders almost immediately.
As we tracked behaviors, we were able to get smarter and smarter about what consumers wanted out of an Electrolux D2C website. We rethought the UI/UX, and we created an AR experience that allowed users to “try at home” before purchasing.
